Adverbials ( theory and practice)
Detailed explanation with example sentences and extra practice on all types of adverbs.

TTS – TEXT TO SPEECH – PRONUNCIATION HELP

SPEAKING GIF

Many of you have difficulty with English pronunciation. It isn’t just the individual words, but the rhythm and intonation of the English language, which is so different from Spanish.
The following website is a Text To Speech tool. Just type a short text, like this paragraph, choose a voice and listen.  I recommend Rachel’s or Graham’s voice.  But you can try all the British English voices.
The speech you hear is not perfect, but it will help you. Maximum text length is 300 characters.

BOOK REVIEW

,Resultado de imagen para book review
Hi everyone

Here  you have a template you can use to prepare your  BOOK REVIEW. Also, I have posted a couple of links with  examples of book reviews you can look at for reference.

As I told you, the writing will be done in class  on January 13th and 14th respectively, and it might take us about 40' to do it.

If you have any questions on that, feel free to get back to me.

bye for now

3B: Example of mini-saga story

Stupid MISTAKE!

It had been a hard exam. It had taken me more tan 4 hours  and I had  all the questions that my classmate next to me had told me.

The exam was over and outside the classroom everybody talked about it. I couldn't believe it! There were different exams, they weren't the same!!!

I do recommend this video by Mr BEAN to sort of illustrate this mini-saga story. Just to have a laugh!!

PHONETICS: disappearing sounds "t" "d"

Sounds disappear
When the sounds /t/ or /d/ occur between two consonant sounds, they will often disappear completely from the pronunciation:

I’m going nex(t) week
That was the wors(t) job I ever had!
Jus(t) one person came to the party!
I can’(t) swim
